This project began as a remodel to an existing farmhouse, then evolved into a tear-down with a new design and addition to the existing footprint. The client’s desire to create a lodge-like feel was succeeded in finishes and the structural play of space.
Their desire for privacy on 3 ½ acres in West Linn is achieved through site location, and a four-car detached garage that buffers the residence from the street. The garage provides guest quarters above for visiting family and friends.
The enjoyment of the residence comes through its details and back deck views of the coast range.
